Referendum success

Referendum success

Following the Neighbourhood Plan Referendum on Thursday 8th December, we are pleased to announce the results: Turnout 15% Votes in favour of the plan – 967 (87%) Votes against the plan – 140 (13%) The plan will now be ratified by Wokingham Borough Council at its February executive meeting.   A huge thank you to all our residents who have been involved in developing the plan over the last 4 years, and watch this space for how we build upon the progress of the plan going forward.         Share...

Draft Neighbourhood Plan under consultation – 4th April to 16th May

Consultation on Shinfield Draft Neighbourhood Plan Shinfield Parish Council as the ‘qualifying body’ has prepared a neighbourhood plan for its parish. The Plan sets out objectives for the future of the parish and contains planning policies to guide the development in Shinfield Parish. The Parish Council submitted its Plan to Wokingham Borough Council in December 2015. On 31 March 2016, Wokingham Borough Council Executive committee agreed the neighbourhood plan for a 6 week regulatory consultation. The six-week public consultation on the proposed Plan in accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended) will run from 4 April 2016 to 16 May 2016. All the comments received during the consultation period will be submitted to the neighbourhood plan Examiner.
