I have lived in Spencers Wood since 1976, joining Shinfield Parish Council in October 2008.
I am actively involved in Planning/Transport matters at SPC and serve the Parish on the Wokingham District Association of Local Councils. I am a bereavement counsellor and Chair of the South East and London Region of Cruse Bereavement Care, a National Charity supporting the well-being of bereaved people.
My belief is that our villages should maintain their individual characteristics and have clearly defined undeveloped green areas between them – supporting countryside, environmental and wildlife issues. I support small scale development sympathetic to the area with improved local traffic management schemes.
I have a grown-up daughter who is an equestrian, and therefore much appreciate local issues in connection with horse riding. My background is in Banking, Insurance, Negotiation and Financial Research, as well as having lived in various parts of the world and travelled extensively since very early childhood.
